Joan Evans

Sr. Adjunct Consultant & Executive Coach

Joan Evans brings more than 25 years experience as a clinician, business executive and consultant to her role as Senior Adjunct Consultant and Executive Coach for Staub Leadership Solutions. She has also served as adjunct faculty at University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, at UNC-Greensboro and at Winston-Salem State University teaching a variety of Physical Therapy and business-related courses

Early in her career, Joan served in mid-level and senior executive leadership roles for several large healthcare organizations. She was recognized for excellence in leading diverse teams and received national awards for her leadership expertise.

In 2001, Joan moved her career into human resources and organizational development, where she has designed and implemented programs on numerous leadership topics including managing change, building teams, conflict resolution and HR’s role in improving clinical quality. She currently serves as Chief Learning Officer for the Moses Cone Health System, a five-hospital health care system in Greensboro, North Carolina. In this role, Joan is responsible for the design and implementation of the organization’s leadership development and succession planning programs.

Joan holds a Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy from the Medical College of Virginia and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. She is certified as a Six Sigma Green Belt. A frequent speaker to national audiences, Joan received the 2006 Speaker of the Year award from the Piedmont Chapter of the American Society of Training and Development.
